Letter from the PASTOR

Greetings in the mighty and matchless name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,

I’m so glad you’re here!!  I’m elated that you took the time to visit the Friendship Church website to explore the wondrous works God is doing in our ministry.  We have been tremendously blessed to see God move in magnificent ways as he continues to enhance our ministry, mission and lives.

I don’t believe your presence today is by coincidence, it’s by divine providence!  God sent you our way to let you know that you are loved and your life matters. If you’re looking for a loving, friendly, spirit-filled church home, you’re in the right place!  As you explore, my prayer for you is that God will allow you to feel his presence, restore hope, experience love and walk in the newness of life.

You haven’t seen anything yet; the best is yet to come!

Get on board THE SHIP!

With Love,
Pastor Jamaal Dyer

OUR BELIEFS

Repentance

Through God's grace, believers being made aware by the Holy Spirit of the evil of his or her sin, can humble themselves before God, and with godly sorrow, determine to turn away from sin they now hate and walk with God in a way that is pleasing to Him.

1 Timothy 2:25; 2 Peter 3:9, 2 Chronicles 7:14; 1 John 1:9; Jeremiah 3:12, 31:9; Psalms 39:18 NLT

Sanctification

Those who have been regenerated are also sanctified by God's Word and Spirit dwelling in them. This sanctification is progressive through the supply of divine strength, which all saints seek to obtain, pressing after heavenly life in cordial obedience to all of Christ's commands. Colossians 2:6-7

FAITH

Saving faith is the belief, on God's authority of whatsoever is revealed in His Word concerning Christ; accepting and resting upon Him alone for justification, sanctification, and eternal life. It is wrought in the heart by the Holy Spirit and leads believers to walk in holiness. Hebrew 11:1-3, 12:2

BAPTISM

Baptism is and ordinance of the Lord Jesus, as an obligation for every believer, where they are immersed in water in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit as an outward sign of fellowship with the death resurrection of Christ, or reemission of sins, and of giving themselves to God, to live and walk in newness of life. It is prerequisite of church membership.
